As I plunge myself into the surface of the water
My only hope is to find you
I know I never will
Find you the way I wish I could
Smiling like you used
Tipping your hat
The tendrils of water wrap around me
Binding my throat
But I don't struggle
I see you in the distance
But I may be dreaming
Drifting out of dreams of you
And a reality of panic
My legs kick out
But then they stop
As I begin to scream out
My mouth fills with water
And I fall
Is this what you would have wanted?
My only hope is to find you
